Free-to-download vehicle and survival sim

My Summer Car is a free simulation game from Sierra Game. It is an unofficial port of the smash hit, and similarly named My Summer Car, developed and published by Amistech Games. Billed as the ultimate car simulator, this release offers the full car-building experience, from assembling to maintenance, on new platforms

Featuring RPG elements, My Summer Car lets you take on the role of a teenager who attempts to build, fix, and upgrade a Datsun 100A-inspired car. Its survival aspects, which include facing permadeath, set this vehicle sim apart from alternative titles like BeamNG.drive and Jalopy.

Assemble and upgrade a vintage car

Set in the open-world fictional place in Finland during the summer of 1995, My Summer Car promises a summer break like no other. As the teenage protagonist in this car game, you have your home all by yourself while your parents are on holiday. Free from parental restrictions, you attempt to assemble, restore, and fix a car in your garage known as Satsuma AMP, modeled after Datsun 100A.

Offering a full car-building experience, the simulator lets you assemble the car from scratch with over a hundred parts at your disposal. You must place the right parts at the right locations using the proper tools. If successful, you can drive the car to enjoy the rest of the summer, racing, sauna bathing, and drinking with friends. But once the fun ends, you must face reality.

With your assembled car and other vehicles, you must take up random jobs to earn money and survive, or else face permanent death. You can use the money to buy food, drink, fuel, and most importantly fix, tune, and upgrade your car to pass police inspections or for sheer aesthetic. Although the port boasts detailed simulation with a steering wheel and shifter, its graphics are not as refined.

Promises a rewarding experience

For car enthusiasts, My Summer Car offers an immersive car-building and driving experience with a meticulous approach and survival elements. This free-to-play sim allows you to build your car, earn in-game currency to maintain it, and take part in a range of summer activities. It features an open world where you can do anything to survive and discover the joy of car ownership in all its aspects.
